Grant Writing Glow Up

Learning to write a great grant proposal — the kind that gets funders to invest in your nonprofit — can be daunting. You have to be a great writer, project manager, finance whiz… on top of everything else you’re doing every day! And, when you look for tips on how to write grants, you’re bombarded with to-do lists, webinars, and conflicting information. Instead of spending your time sifting through information that may not apply to you, wouldn’t you rather invest in giving your current grant proposals a glow up?

Giant Squid Group’s Grant Writing Glow Up is an immersive, two-hour workshop for real people who want to write better grants. It’s a candid, no-bullshit masterclass with real fundraisers who write, submit, and win millions of dollars in grant funding every year. . It’s for anyone who wants to write better grants, but particularly for writers passionate about using their words to change the world. The workshop includes:

  • Decolonizing your grant language. The workshop will start with a facilitated discussion about how to use people-first language and ethical storytelling in your grant proposals, and how to overcome objections from managers and funders.

  • A deep dive into YOUR grant proposals. Submit a grant (or section of a grant) before the workshop and get real-time, one-on-one coaching during breakout sessions with our team, then learn  as your neighbors take their turn in the “hot seat.”

  • Essential resource sharing.  The workshop wraps up with a feedback session and an opportunity for you to ask questions like “what is the best grant tracking software?” or “how do I handle burnout?” We’ll create a resource roundup plus takeaways and next steps just for you.

  • A network of support. Registration includes an invitation to join a Facebook community of nonprofit professionals, coaches, and peers all working to make the world a better place!

The Grant Writing Glow Up is valued at $99.

While not all nonprofits  have the same resources, we want them to have access to fundraising practices that help them build stronger communities, center marginalized voices, and work towards transformative change. Our Pay What You Want fee structure ensures we can offer quality programs and invest in our team, while also committing to economic justice.

If you have a professional development budget, healthy cash reserves, and the time and funds to invest in your growth as a fundraiser and leader, consider paying $99 to reserve your Grant Writing Glow Up seat.

If $99 isn’t in your budget right now, please name a fair price and pay it forward when you can! (minimum $29).
