The Spring 2025 Grant Writing Crash Course is coming soon!
Join the Grant Writing Crash Course - a six-week coaching program for real people who want to write better grants.
Learning to write a great grant proposal — the kind that gets new funders to invest in your nonprofit — can be daunting. You have to be a nonprofit pro, great writer, project manager, finance whiz...on top of everything else you’re doing every day! And, when you look for tips on how to write grants, you’re bombarded with to-do lists, webinars, and conflicting information. It’s enough to make you want to throw your computer out the window!
If you’re exhausted from looming deadlines, rejected proposals, and a lack of funding, it’s time to build a better grants program.
We’ve spent the last ten years writing, submitting, and winning grants and we’ve learned a lot — from countless wins and rejections to candid conversations with funders. Now, we want to share what we’ve learned. Our Grant Writing Crash Course is a “do it together,” collaborative coaching program for passionate nonprofit professionals who want to learn how to build a kick-ass grants program — the kind that lands six-figure gifts year after year.
Join a group of dynamic fundraisers ready to build a grants program that actually brings in money.
When you sign up for our Grant Writing Crash Course you get access to an outstanding education, time-saving resources, and a hands-on supportive community so you can start writing, submitting, and winning grants.
This course is designed for small-and start-up nonprofits who are new to grant writing and want to write and submit their first proposals or increase the amount of funding they’re getting. What our nonprofit partners say about Giant Squid Group’s Coaching
“The expertise and support of Giant Squid has been invaluable in telling the story of our work and meeting our grants goals.
The team has a unique talent for distilling big ideas into concrete yet creative proposals — bridging the often disparate worlds of artists, funders, and institutions. Their focus and energy keeps us on track, on mission, and on deadline, allowing the staff to focus on what we do best: serving artists.”
-Stephanie Pacheco, Executive Director of Links Hall

“Giant Squid Group has far exceeded our expectations: after our first year of working together, we secured $50,000+ in funding from several new partners and continued to significantly increase our funding. This money translated to new programs, and meant we were able to support countless more individuals and families with critical mental health programs. Working with Giant Squid Group has been far more than bringing in a consultant to help us meet our goals. Catherine is a real partner: her guidance drove us to take significant steps forward as an agency.”
-Karen Ranus, former Executive Director of NAMI Central Texas

“Working with Catherine has been an absolute dream! Not only has she has helped me feel comfortable with the idea of fundraising, but she helped to improve my overall confidence within the nonprofit world! After each of our meetings I am fired up and ready to get work done. Catherine has been a mentor and a catalyst towards my organizations growth! Her expertise, dedication and passion is unmatched!”
