Join the Grant Writing Crash Course - a six-week coaching program for real people who want to write better grants.

Learning to write a great grant proposal — the kind that gets new funders to invest in your nonprofit — can be daunting. You have to be a nonprofit pro, great writer, project manager, finance whiz...on top of everything else you’re doing every day! And, when you look for tips on how to write grants, you’re bombarded with to-do lists, webinars, and conflicting information. It’s enough to make you want to throw your computer out the window!

If you’re exhausted from looming deadlines, rejected proposals, and a lack of funding, it’s time to build a better grants program.

We’ve spent the last ten years writing, submitting, and winning grants and we’ve learned a lot — from countless wins and rejections to candid conversations with funders. Now, we want to share what we’ve learned. Our Grant Writing Crash Course is a “do it together,” collaborative coaching program for passionate nonprofit professionals who want to learn how to build a kick-ass grants program — the kind that lands six-figure gifts year after year.

Join a group of dynamic fundraisers ready to build a grants program that actually brings in money.

When you sign up for our Grant Writing Crash Course you get access to an outstanding education, time-saving resources, and a hands-on supportive community so you can start writing, submitting, and winning grants.

This course is designed for small-and start-up nonprofits who are new to grant writing and want to write and submit their first proposals or increase the amount of funding they’re getting.  You’ll get access to premium trainings from our team, custom resources and templates, and intensive coaching and support.

The Grant Writing Crash Course meets every week from 12:00 pm to 1:30 pm CST for six weeks beginning on April 13th, 2022.  Each week, we’ll do a deep dive into one facet of a grant proposal, then follow the live session with homework, handwork, templates, and virtual feedback. When you join the Crash Course you get:

  • Six weeks of high-touch group coaching from Giant Squid Group’s expert grant writers (valued at $2,500).

  • Access to six-figure grant language (written by us!) so you can see what a winning grant looks like.

  • A step-by-step curriculum to write your own grant language (valued at $99).

  • Real-time feedback on your goals, objectives, and evaluation plan.

  • A customizable grant calendar template.

  • An invitation to join a Facebook community of nonprofit professionals, coaches, and peers all working to make the world a better place!

Program Fees

Like all of our programs, the Grant Writing Crash Course is Pay-What-You-Want, with a minimum investment of $150 for six weeks of content.

What our nonprofit partners say about Giant Squid Group’s coaching

“This year I’ve continued working with Catherine as a nonprofit coach and my team has attended nearly all of her many free Nonprofit Lunch ‘n Learns which have been invaluable to the growth of a variety of aspects in our organization.

Throughout her coaching, free nonprofit programming, and work with our Board, Catherine demonstrates a gentle leadership that inspires and holds us accountable as well as her deep appreciation for the work of her clients which helps me grow as a leader and nonprofit professional myself. With Catherine, you get not only her a wealth of information, but the heart behind it.”

- Stephanie Powell, H.E.L.P.

“I was stalled out and frustrated with my nonprofit that I had once been overwhelmingly passionate about. Catherine not only pulled me out of my slump but re-energized me on my mission with income increasing ideas, resources for pinch points in my nonprofit, and helpful brainstorming sessions that helped take my creativity to a higher level while still being focused on my unique audience.

Catherine has a special way of coaching that isn't a set system but rather guiding your ideas to more successful paths and more lucrative outcomes. Catherine's guidance has put my nonprofit on a path from disorganized hobby cause to quickly scaling, mission-driven business to help those in need.”

-Lauren Lovejoy, Lyme Warrior

After each of our meetings I am fired up and ready to get work done. Catherine has been a mentor and a catalyst towards my organizations growth! Her expertise, dedication and passion is unmatched!”
